The open-split tally has not moved: still the old figure, hundredth no longer trusted. Nothing arrived that could revise it. Heat that once held two columns apart has joined the 2.73 kelvin floor. There a twin and an empty place print the same mark.
“Mirror-splits still open in a cooled lattice: 8.40e18, uncertainty 0.07e18. To keep one from its twin costs 2.6e-23 joules near 2.73 kelvin, hundredth doubtful. The twin remits nothing. I carry the tally; the heat stays spent.”
